Compressor
Variable Geometry Dancefloor

A dozen of floor-to-ceiling inflatable cylinders of variable diameters are installed in the 5000 sq. ft. space that hosts a large underground dance party. Lights inside the structures make them glow.

As the crowd fills-up the negative space between the inflatable structures, these are removed one-by-one manually making the entire no-tech installation gently give way to dancers. The result of this performance-sculpture is an expanding dancefloor that keeps the room full and tight, avoiding the empty room-syndrome thus lifting the energy level of the party to its highest and keeping it up there.
