 Blimp for Magnum
A dimensional video screen

A blimp-like inflatable object is used as a screen to project NYC marathon images from the Magnum Photos collection. The blimp wraps around an existing chandelier. Each projector is installed on a shelf hung with cables from 3 anchor points. Images are sequenced and fade in & out to convey the idea of motion. The simple shape of the blimp, its size and placement, and the distortion of the projected images make this installation dramatic and dymanic at the same time. The size of the object is proportional to the Vanderbilt hall which it engages boldly.
